What does it do? You create searches for any topic (a disease, a keyword, an author) and Trial Alert watches public research sources — PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, Europe PMC, and news — then notifies you when something new appears.
Free vs. Premium. The free version includes one search checked at most weekly. Trial Alert Premium is a one‑time in‑app purchase that unlocks unlimited searches and faster daily / twice‑a‑day checks.
I bought Premium on another device. Open Settings → Trial Alert Premium → Restore purchase.
Why don’t notifications arrive exactly on schedule? Trial Alert uses on‑device background refresh. iOS decides when background checks actually run (based on battery, charging, and usage), so the frequency is a minimum spacing, not a guarantee. Use pull‑to‑refresh on the Feed for an immediate, guaranteed check. Background App Refresh and Notifications must be enabled for the app in iOS Settings.
